Situations in which the child is washed frequently, especially its hands – after playing, face, bum, can cause irritation of delicate skin. We do know that infants suffer from different disorders, such as: common sweat rash (miliaria crystallina) or red sweat rash (miliaria rubra), infant seborrhea (dermatitis seborrhoica infantum), infant acne (acne infantum) or diaper dermatitis. All of these disorders are self-remitting, but are frequently source of concern for mothers. It is thus well worth to care and support the soothing of symptoms of these disorders with appropriate preparations. The atopic dermatitis that is frequent among children is a chronic disease. One of the basic steps in treatment of its symptoms is the care and moisturizing of skin, to keep the remission periods as long as possible. This is achieved with use of specially selected emollients and preparations.

It was not long since specialist emollients and preparations were first marketed in Poland. They contain no dyes and parabens, they are rich in a range of moisturizing and greasing agents, their aromatic compositions are allergen free and they were dermatologically tested, which makes them safe for use in case of infants and small children.

When giving child a bath in the Calmapherol Baby oil/emulsion it is well worth to remember, that soothing care lotion is a perfect supplementation for child skin. The bath oil contains active ingredients, including VITAOIL PLUS – a complex of 7 oils containing unsaturated Omega fatty acids. Among those oils is the sunflower oil that supplements the damaged lipid cover, not allowing the skin to dry and irritate; cocoa oil that thanks to its lauric acid has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral action. It contains natural antioxidants that make the skin firm and elastic; avocado oil that provides different minerals. Apart from that linen oil, containing unsaturated fatty acids in proportions that are perfect for the skin, thus preventing excessive loss of water through epidermis; macadamia oil (so called “light oil”) that enters the skin quickly, helping to keep it moisturized for a long time and has hypoallergenic properties. Olive oil is a rich source of Omega 9 acids, vitamin F and A, E, D, K vitamins, and also phospholipids. Particularly recommended for child and infant skin suffering from psoriasis, atopic dermatitis or skin allergies and skin dryness, and also in case of rare genetical dermatitises, such as ichthyosis. Argan oil provides the skin unsaturated fatty acids, that support the regeneration of hydro-lipid barrier. Calmapherol Baby oil/bath emulsion can be used for removing cradle cap fragments durian bath.

Calmapherol Baby soothing lotion for delicate skincare of children and infants is enriched with two active ingredients. Provitamin B5 has regenerative action on irritations, it reduces the redness and itching; improves the lipid barrier of the epidermis, securing correct skin moisture; it also protects the skin from irritation and damages. Borage is the new and important active ingredient. It has a soothing effect in case of atopic dermatitis lesions, reduces redness and itching; returns the elasticity and reduces the roughness of skin. It is also recognized as the richest source of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). It is also recommended for adults with sensitive skin that is prone to allergic reactions and irritation, dry.

The Calmapherol Baby regenerating skin crème was registered for use from the first month of life. The research has proved its special possibilities of application: diaper dermatitis, redness of armpits and groin, all scratches and bruises of epidermis, and also as support in treatment of infectious dermatitises or atopic skin lesions.

The discussed preparations are safe for use for both daily care of healthy skin of a child, and that of skin with lesions. Specialist emollients and preparations do not damage the delicate lipid barrier of child’s skin, leaving the skin soft and well moisturized.
