Dry, cracked, and chafed skin is a common problem, usually appearing from November to April. Common symptoms include redness, itching, flaking, development of small skin fissures, burning feelings, or even skin sores. The main reasons are repeated temperature changes from low outdoors to high in heated rooms, overzealous body washing with hot water and avoiding the use of preparations which help to oil, for example, your hands (may cause xerotic eczema) or the face or the whole body. Therefore, during this time, it is necessary to properly and constantly moisturize and oil your skin using appropriate preparations. It is observed that more and more people decide to use dermocosmetics, as they are more powerful and safer than traditional cosmetics.
It is worth mentioning that Idravitae active products, which have recently appeared on the Polish pharmaceutical market, have a pH of 5.5, which is the natural pH of the skin. If we disrupt our skin’s natural pH, we make it more prone to damage and infections. Products with a pH of 5.5 are better to prevent bacterial growth. This natural pH of Idravitae active was achieved by the usage of lactic acid.
The most important ingredients of the preparations are liposomal vitamins A, E and C, which deeply moisturize and nourish overdried skin, speed up the process of skin regeneration and keep the skin in good condition. In particular, vitamin C, which is wrapped in liposomes, which means that it is absorbed better. Moreover, vitamin C protects the skin against free radicals, improves the condition of fragile and rupture-prone blood vessels, and improves skin colour. Autumn and winter are times of the year when we are more susceptible to setbacks of diseases such as atopic dermatitis or psoriasis. It is worth remembering that the skin condition of people who suffer from diabetes or other metabolic disorders may worsen during autumn and winter, so it is also necessary to moisturize it more intensively to avoid drying, cracking, and superinfections, which may cause the development of shallow fissures or wounds difficult to heal. People who work in the open air during this time are especially exposed to skin dryness. Some of the most effective methods of fighting dry skin are, for example, washing hands in cold water, replacing soaps with syndets, and proper skin moisturizing. Idravitae active seems to be the perfect remedy, as it is well absorbed and intensively moisturizes the skin.
